What an incredible evening of music and song presented by legendary performer, Diana Ross! The fabulous Ohio Theater was the stage for an intimate 80 minute concert featuring Miss Ross and a 12 piece ensemble including 4 brass instruments. Miss Ross, whose voice is still beautiful and clear after nearly 50 years of entertaining, delighted the audiience with hit after hit from her vast catalog of songs. For most of the evening she stood on the very edge of the stage, interacting with her fans in her own warm and charming way. She brought class and elegance to Columbus, no doubt about it! Throughout the evening she weaved her magic through the songs of the Supremes, her solo hits, movie themes, and a couple from her lastest release "I Love You." Once again Diana Ross proved that she is "The Boss"!
Located near the Pickaway/Ross county line, Salem United Methodist Church is truly a delight. The congregation is warm and friendly. The pastor Jon Osmundson is certainly one of the United Methodists "rising stars" ! I was impressed with his style and substance. In fact the entire worship service was rich and meaningful. Long time friends Earl and Marcella Hildenbrand opened the door for me to sing! I was honored to both sing at the worship service, and to pre-empt their Sunday School hour with a concert! It was a great day for me and hopefully the folks at Salem were blessed as well!
Although the name and location of the church has changed since the last time I sang for the congregation, the same warm welcome and appreciation was shown to me. Located on SR 56 just southeast of Circleville, Living By Faith Ministries is an independent, Bible-based church full of the love of Jesus. Long time friends Glen and Mary Metzler attend and got me the invite. Pastor Robert Henry does a great job of minstering to the people of God. My sincere thanks goes out to the folks at Living By Faith, for allowing me to sing 6 songs from the new CD.
